Local Sponsor

A National Charity with A Local Focus

The CHP does not bring an installation to a community but works with that community to create something that reflects the unique qualities that help define a local area. Each and every installation will be different and that is the point. Any EMS organization or agency is “eligible” to be honored, regardless of size, affiliation, etc.

Any location – city, state, town, county, etc.- that wishes to honor its EMS workers can apply to partner with the CHP to create a Caring Hands installation. A sponsoring organization (or organizations) is needed for each project and the CHP will work with each community to help identify such sponsors.

The role of the sponsor is to provide the much needed “intelligence” in each locale. They help identify the proper venue, assist in fundraising, coordinate with local EMS personnel and provide “on-the-ground” administrative support.

the CHP’s Creative Director will work closely with local artists and craftspeople to design and implement an installation that accurately reflects the traditions, culture, and mores of the area and the people being honored, the sponsor is the link between the national non-profit and the local community. The sponsor will be more visible and more closely aligned with the local community than the CHP could ever be.

The CHP will provide guidance, design services, and other resources the local sponsor needs in order to make each installation successful. All of these upfront costs are covered by The CHP and are not charged back to local projects.

Any organization that's interested in working with us to create a local Caring Hands Project should get in touch with Reverend Nicholson here.

The Caring Hands Project is a nationwide charitable organization that implements its installations in cities and towns across America. This is a large undertaking and will require significant financial support. In addition to local donors, the CHP is seeking corporate backing, either on a national or local level. Naming opportunities for all parts of the project will be available for sponsors at various levels of support.

One of the most attractive factors for sponsors to consider is the CHP’s complete lack of political and partisan overtones.

The CHP is an opportunity for all of America to honor the personnel who save lives daily. The CHP reflects what Revd. Nicholson saw in his six years as an EMS chaplain: compassionate care to everyone who needed it, regardless of race, gender, religion, political views, class or any other attribute.

For more information on sponsorship opportunities or donations, please contact Revd. Nicholson via the contact form on the website.

The CHP also welcomes support from individuals and organizations. While we are waiting for the IRS to grant our 501(c)3 tax-exempt status we ask that you contact us using the form on the site so we can get in touch to follow up.
