Life Casts

How do we celebrate the work of the EMS professional?

Through the creation of art installations that utilize life casts of the hands of local EMS personnel, thus capturing the essence of the work they do in a way nothing else can.

What is lifecasting?

The process of creating a three-dimensional copy of a living human body through the use of molding and casting techniques. The most common life casts are of torsos, pregnant bellies, faces, and hands.

The Castings.

The castings (think of them as sculpture) will be displayed as a permanent or long-term exhibit in a public location, capturing the essence of the work done by EMS in a way nothing else can.

How Life Casts Are Made
